You're invited ...
... to the heart of Kentucky's caveland
region, the gateway to Mammoth Cave
National Park and the launching point for
Nolin Lake activities.
Edmonson County has a wide selection of
exciting adventures for the entire family,
including boating, fishing, horseback riding,
camping, golf and, of course, exploring the
awesome underworld of ...
... Mammoth Cave National Park.
Local Attractions in Edmonson, the Cave
We think of ourselves as Kentucky's Cave County because much of
Mammoth Cave National Park was carved out of Edmonson. But Nolin Lake also plays
a huge role in our local recreational activities. Please note the site
menu at upper left, but you can also click on the photo at left to begin your
exploration of our web site.
Cave exploring is a year-round activity for folks visiting
Mammoth Cave National Park, but Edmonson County offers all sorts of other
activities, no matter the season. There's fishing and boating on local rivers
and, of course, sprawling Nolin Lake. The are horse camps, as well as
regular camping, and our restaurants and lodging facilities are down-home
comfortable. Yes, we have golf courses and lots of places to shop. Click at left
to see what's happening.
The small town of Brownsville, on the deep, deep Green River, is
the bustling seat of Edmonson County, which is located in south central Kentucky
about midway between Louisville to the north and Nashville to the south. For
convention and tourism assistance, such as maps and brochures and other
information, we invite you to contact us by clicking on the photo at left.
